Background of the Study:
Digital transformation has revolutionized international relations, giving rise to e-diplomacy, where digital tools and online platforms facilitate diplomatic engagement. In Lagos State, e-diplomacy has become an integral part of government communication strategies, enabling rapid information exchange, virtual negotiations, and enhanced public engagement. This study examines how digital transformation influences diplomatic practices, focusing on the adoption and impact of e-diplomacy initiatives in Lagos State (Ibrahim, 2023). It explores the benefits of digital tools in streamlining diplomatic processes, increasing transparency, and improving responsiveness in international affairs. The research also evaluates challenges such as cybersecurity risks, digital divides, and issues of information reliability. By analyzing case studies, online communications, and interviews with diplomatic practitioners, the study provides a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of e-diplomacy in shaping international relations and public perceptions (Thompson, 2024).
